Who Shall Dwell With Christ?

D. S. Warner.

—:o:—

O who can stand in the judgment day?
None but the pure shall dwell with Christ.
Then what, poor sinner, can you say?
None but the pure shall dwell with Christ

Chorus — No, No, No my Lord,
None but the pure shall dwell with Christ.

Now sinner wake and turn to God,
None but the pure shall dwell with Christ.
Ye lost, O flee to Jesus’ blood,
None but the pure shall dwell with Christ.

And all that love this world of sin,
None but the pure shall dwell with Christ.
Think you that Christ will take you in?
None hut the pure shall dwell with Christ.

Backslider you must turn again,
None but the pure shall dwell with Christ.
Or you cannot in glory reign,
None but the pure shall dwell with Christ.

All ye that have a name to live,
None but the pure shall dwell with Christ.
Your heart and life to Jesus give,
None but the pure shall dwell with Christ.

You must be holy, white as snow,
None but the pure shall dwell with Christ.
Or you cannot to heaven go,
None but the pure shall dwell with Christ.

WONDERFUL DELIVERANCE.

—:o:—

DEAR readers of the Gospel Trumpet, I feel led of the Spirit to tell my experience for the glory of God.

I was raised a Roman Catholic. When I came to the years of understanding I began to search for the truth, for I saw I was not living as our Lord said we should. My religion was only in the head, did not reach the heart, I found I had not the peace the Lord promised to them that come unto Him, which the world can not receive. And looking around at others, I saw they were no better than I, and only used their religion for a cloak to get worldly gain in some way or another. The priest, making a good living out of it, and so on up to the pope, living in splendor, taking the last, cent from poor blindfolded people. There are very few honest priests. I also thought that we had to live holy, the same as the first Christians.

Throwing what religion I had overboard; as on a sinking ship, I became a socialist.

I kept on living an infidel, calling religion a humbug, saying it was only good to keep poor people blindfolded, that some may have a good living, deceiving them and selling them heaven for money. I would look close at them that called themselves Christians, and when any did wrong, which is too often the case, it would strengthen me again in my unbelief.

Lukewarm and cold professors are standing in the way of sinners, doing more harm than Ingersol and all his followers; for they have the pharisee religion, and Jesus has no use for them.

The Catholics are further from God than the rest, but mix all the sects together and compare them with God’s Word, and see where they stand. Take the money away from them and worldly influence, and see what is left of them.

I kept on, thinking I would take the world as easy as I possibly could. Drinking sometimes to drowned my sorrows.

I called it my only joy that was left for me in this world, in the next I looked for nothing, for I did not wish to go to heaven with these hypocrite priests, and so called church members. And helping the devil fight God’s Word, thinking I was doing right, I hated all church members. Many a time as I was going along, this question arose, “what am I born for? is this present world all, or is there another to come?” I would try to have it, this is all; but my conscience would tell me, there is another, and I was sure of going to hell the way I was living; for I knew I was denying Jesus Christ, as being the Son of the Living God. I was what the holy Bible calls anti-christ. But thanks be unto my beloved Savior, He sent a holiness lady into this vicinity to preach, the truth. I went to hear and see, thinking it was some kind of a game to make money. I attended meeting for a week or more, seeing that this was the truth, providing there was any truth at all: and that they possessed an immortal joy that I never witnessed before. I was persuaded to give it a trial. When alone I called on Jesus in this manner, “Lord Jesus Christ, Creator of heaven and earth, make Thyself manifest unto me, and let me know that thou art the living Son of God, I a miserable sinner come to thee, save me, and adopt me among thy children I promise to serve thee and thee alone the rest of my days here on earth.” The tears came in my eyes, my whole sinful life I saw before, me like a dream, and all my misery. Jesus spoke peace to my soul. Joy overcame me, joy unspeakable. I felt like a new man, and the world looked different to me; every thing looked changed to me. With the birds in the air, I broke out praising the Lord my God; for I found that there was a reality in “pure religion.” I went on, seeking for more, as the holiness people claimed sanctification through the Spirit. I can not understand how people in the sect churches, that have found Jesus in the forgiveness of their sins, can harden their heart against the Spirit of God, and say we cannot live a holy life in this present world. I kept on seeking, consecrated everything to God, myself and all I possessed, laid all on the altar, which is Christ Jesus. The Lord in His mercy poured out His Spirit on me, I shall never forget the power. I fell to the floor; as soon as I came to myself again, I began to pray and testify by the power of the Holy Spirit. I had no will of my own. I can still testify, with the help of Jesus. All glory to Him forever and ever! I will testify as long as I live, with His help.

O how I praise Jesus for such a salvation that keeps us true to Him, free from sin. Jesus can keep us if we are always given up to Him like little children.

Glory to Jesus, my all in all! I am so glad that every day brings me nearer to Him. O what a joy it is in this world, to serve Jesus, besides the joy that awaits us in heaven, with Jesus in heaven forever and ever. I know I am saved. I once possessed the spirit of the devil, but praise Jesus! I have His Spirit now, and I know the difference. There are so many people who backslide because they do not go on unto perfection. Praise Jesus! I love to tell them to get out of the darkness, out from under satan’s power into the light through Jesus, and test the promises in God’s Word. Do not believe the devil any longer.

I have never had the oportunity to testify to the Roman Catholics; I have a great desire to tell them what Jesus has done for me, for I want to tell them that I am in the old apostolic catholic Church, on the Rock Christ Jesus, where the apostles built on, (1 Cor. 3:10 13,) not held down by man’s work, and laws, creeds, priestcraft and so many things to make money out of. O poor deluded people, they even forbid them to read the Word of God; for the priest-craft is afraid they may get some light, for they want to hold them down in ignorance and darkness as long as possible, to get their money. O Jesus help them out, poor deluded people in old babylon: how long shall they live in splendor on the sweat of poor people? May God help. There are some honest ones suffering yet under that abominable idolatery. I can realize what a great reform God worked through Martin Luther in his days, by breaking down that popish power. I know it is hard to get a Catholic to believe but that his church is the only one, and the first church that the apostles founded. Compare her with the Word of God and you will see that she is not God’s Church at all, but is a habitation of devils, deceiving and being deceived, making merchandice out of God’s Word. Glory to Jesus! I can see her abomination through the Spirit, and I praise the Lord from the bottom of my heart that He ever brought me on this highway of holiness where we can always drink water out of the wells of salvation to the satisfying of our soul. Glory to God! The way gets brighter as we go: Praise the Lord!

The Lord has also manifested His power in my family in healing of sickness, also in this little band of brethren, most of whom have taken Him for their physician. Praise the Lord!

Holiness is much rejected here, like every other place, but praise Jesus, I am out on the promise, under the blood and the wav gets brighter. I shall fight the good fight until the end. My love to all the dear brethren and sisters. Your Bro. saved and sanctified.

THE PENTECOSTAL FIRE.

—:o: —

By Mas B. M. Isham.

HE shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire.” — Matt. 3:11. What was the effect of this fire from heaven? What did the Holy Spirit do for the apostles and early disciples when He was poured out on the day of pentecost? It opened their understanding to behold the Gospel with renewed clearness and power in their appeals to the people after they had this holy unction, this new Spiritual fire. The Holy Spirit now took of the things of Christ and showed them unto them. They saw with new eyes, and heard with new ears these glorious truths, this new and living way of mercy, the redemption of all sin through the blood of the new and everlasting Covenant, and rejoiced with joy unspeakable and full of glory. Praise God! Their groveling ideas of an earthly or temporal kingdom vanished forever. They saw now clearly that Christ’s kingdom was hot of this world, but a spiritual kingdom, us much above all earthly grandeur and glory as the heavens are higher than the earth. This pentecostal shower increased their moral courage, holy boldness. Previous to the reception of this sanctification they were timorous, and man-fearing. This is manifest from their behavior; when Jesus was taken by the multitude, all the disciples forsook Him and fied. It was still more discernable in Peter’s denying his Lord, when confronted by a damsel. Mark the change in Peter after receiving the tongues of fire; standing before the multitude many of whom were the sworn, enemies of Jesus, and preaching with such power from heaven that three thousand were converted under this one sermon. Glory to God for this unspeakable gift! Oh for this holy boldness, this pentecostal fire in the ministry of the nineteenth century, constraining them to “cry aloud and spare not.” What a shaking there would be among the dry bones.

Another glorious thing was accomplished by this overpowering influence upon the souls of the early disciples was, it killed out the desire for that serpent of all serpents, schism, party spirit, sectarianism; this saying, “I am of Paul, I of Appollos and I of Cephas,” which has been a stumbling block ever since the first sect. Behold the blessed effects of Christian union. “And they continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking of bread from house to house did eat their bread with gladness and singleness of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added unto the Church daily such a: should be saved.” And so it would have been to the end of time had not satan been permitted to come in with his infernal stratagems, and split up God’s Church into shreds and parties till our world is well nigh a sink of sin. Again this baptism destroyed all love of the world, the all-absorbing idea now was to lay up treasure in heaven, to glorify God in the salvation of souls.

“They sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men as every man had need.” — Acts 2:45. They laid all upon the altar — Christ Jesus — brought all the tithes into the store-house. “Holiness to the Lord,” was written upon their foreheads and on their door-posts and on their gates. Finally look at the effects of this super-abounding grace, touching their labors at home and abroad. They went everywhere preaching the Word, equipped for the battle-field. In a very little space, they turned the world upside down, caused satan to fall as lightning, mountains to flow down “as when the melting fire burneth.” Glory to God and the Lamb forever! The great Head of the Church is working among the dear saints. Let them thrust in their sickles and gather the fruit, for the harvest is passing away.

We hear the shouts of victory from almost every State in the union. We return the echoes of their triumphant songs.

“Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne and unto the Lamb.” Victory! victory! Jesus reigns! Let the saints enter the chariot of love. Hallelujah! Amen, and amen!

SO WALK YE IN HIM.

—:o:—

AS ye have therefore received Christ Jesus, the Lord, so walk ye in Him. — Col. 2:6. Dear readers can we say we are walking in Christ as we received Him? Do I love my neighbor as I did when I first received Christ? Did I receive Christ with hatred in my heart toward any one I Did I receive Christ with the love of the world in my heart? Did I receive Him with a spirit of disobedience?

No, No. No person ever received Christ until they came down to love every body, and to where they were willing to do all the will of God, and the commandments and ordinances of Jesus Christ.

O how humbly and lowly and meekly we had to come to Christ before we could receive Him. Well just so we must walk in Him. Now if we find that we have not as much of God’s love, or not as much humility, and self-denial as we had when we received Christ, then we are back-slidden and not walking in Christ.

The teaching of babylon is, that we will not have so much love in after years, as when we were first converted. But the Word of the Lord says, “As ye have received Christ Jesus, so walk ye in Him.”

Yea, “the pathway of the just is a shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.” Then that love that was planted in us at conversion will grow stronger and stronger until we are led by that love into entire sanctification, which is the second work of grace. But if we do not walk in Christ as we received Him, we will backslide, and that is just where babylon is to-day. Their hearts are seared over with false teaching, until some think that if they belong to some sect, that they belong to Christ. But St John (15:6,) says if a man abide not in me he is cast forth as a branch and is withered. “And if ye abide in me (not in a sect) and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will and it shall be done unto you.” How can we abide in Christ, and His Words abide in us? By abiding in His Word, and keeping His commandments, and ordinances. Hear the words of Jesus. “If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love, even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in His love.” Here is His commission, “Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you, and lo I am with yon always, even unto the end of the world.” Amen! Well what did Christ command the disciples to do? One of His commands we find in John 13. “If I your Lord and Master have washed your feet, ye also ought to wash one anothers feet; for I have given you an example that you should do as I have done to you.” Now shall we teach men not to do these things which Christ said we should do? Shall we teach them to join some sect, and do as that sect does, and then promise them heaven? Is that what the Word teaches? No, No! Christ gives no such orders, no such promises. His Word is “Abide in me.” “As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in Him.” “Keep my commandments and ye shall abide my love.”

CHRIST OUR LIFE.

_____

Pittsburg Pa.

HERE is the vision I had last night. The Savior stood near me, and a vein or an artery had been opened, and stood open for all that would come unto Him. I was to have a vein opened in my neck which should cause my death, by allowing all the natural blood to flow out of my body and when I was dead, I was to be raised to life by the Savior placing the opened vein of His body to the vein in my neck and the blood from His body (which could never be exhausted) was to pour into my body until I should be “resurrected, into His image,” with His blood arid nature. I had faith to trust in Jesus for being thus brought to life again and consented to the death of my body in this way. The bed on which I was to lay was ready, and all my friends tried in vain to dissuade me. I was aware they would all call me crazy, and would all forsake me and that the white pillows would all be pulled away from under my head when the blood began to flow, and that I should be deserted by all, in the dying struggles, but I said, “none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself,” and “he that findeth his life shall loose it, and he that looseth his life for My sake the game shall find it.” And I prepared to “present my body a living sacrifice” on the altar Christ Jesus, knowing that He was able to keep that which I committed to Him, and having faith that He would bring my body to life again renewing it by His own blood, that I might live a life unto Him in His own likeness. “Now if we be dead with Christ we believe that we shall also live with Him. Glory to God! How blessed to be dead unto sin and self, so that we shall “not live any longer therein, for “we are members of His body, of His flesh and His bones.” Glory to God and the Lamb!

“Now ye are the body of Christ.” “Reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God, through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Christ’s blood in our veins, that is His nature in us, so that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth “we should not serve sin.” Dwelling in Him and He in us, “being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

“Yield yourselves unto God as those that are alive from the dead.” “For sin shall not have dominion over you.”

Who will consent to lay down and have the life blood drawn from your veins and go through the struggle of dying out to your own blood relations, father, mother, brethren, wife and children, that Christ may dwell in you and you in Him? “If any man come to me, and hate not his father, mother, wife, children, yea and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.”

Dear Brethren: — My testimony this morning is that I am saved and sanctified, and kept by the power of God unto salvation. I just praise God for His keeping power, He keeps me so sweetly saved. I praise God for His healing power! I am healed from the catarrh. I am but thirteen years of age, yet the Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want. The Lord saved my soul a year ago last September. By His assisting grace I shall stand.

My testimony is, I am saved. Praise God for full and free salvation. Praise God for the healing power. My little girl was taken very sick, and husband was gone to meeting. It seemed she could not live till he got home, but I fell on my knees and prayed for her to be spared until they came. When husband came we sent for Bro Williams and he prayed for her, and before he took his hands off from her she was healed, and now she is well. I am not afraid to testify to the healing power.

Praise God! I will Praise God for ever and ever! He saves me just now. I was. first justified, and after that sanctified, washed and made white in the blood of the Lamb.

Your sister saved from sin each day.

PAUL OF TARSUS A. D. 60 AND A D. D. OF 1886.

—:o:—

D. D. Paul, there is a great deal of agitation at the present time about the (church, how properly to define it according to the Word of God; and I desire to ask you a few questions, as you have knowledge and wisdom in these things. Do you believe in the Church?

P. I would say, my brother, as I wrote to the Cor. brethren in 1st Cor. 2: 12, 13 (which see) that I receive and speak not the spirit of the world. I do believe in the Church with all my soul, Eph. 5:25, 27.

D. D. Paul, are you a member of the Church?

P. Yes, thank God, I am a member. 1st. Cor. 12:27.

D. D. Of what church are you a member?

P. The Church of the Firstborn, who are enrolled in heaven. Heb. 12:23.

D. D. Is not that a new church, Paul? I have not heard of it.

P. It is the Church of Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Samuel, David, Isaiah and all the prophets and saints.

D. D. Ah, yes; I see — you refer to the general Church. But with what branch of the Church are you connected?

P. I am not connected with a branch — I am connected with the Vine. I am a branch of the Vine as are all the saints. John 15:5.

D. D. But Paul, do you not recognize the different modern churches as branches of the vine — as members of the body, the Church?

P. I do not. What is written is written. Read my instructions to the Cor. brethren and obey them, and all sects would be destroyed; a simple worship of God restored among all the people of God. 1st. Cor. 1:10, to 16, 3:3 to 5. Chap. 12 entire. Six hundred diverse and conflicting sects are not according to John 17:21; Nor Acts 1:12; and 2:44 to 46; and 4:32.

D. D. Paul, when did you join the Church?

P. I did not join the Church — I was born in it by the Holy Ghost, and my name was entered in the Lamb’s Book – a babe is born into a family — he does not join it — and his name is written on the family register. Acts 2:47. I was born into the Church on my way to Damascus, and felt perfectly at home among the brethren and was never asked to join any other church — they had no other.

D. D. But Paul, is there no more than one Church of God?

P. It is not possible. Christ is the head Col. 1:18, and 24. He has but one body, as He is one head, but the body has many members and each several Christian is a member. Eph. 1:22, 23; and 5:30; lst. Cor. 12:12 … 27. These members compose the Church (Body) and any members in a certain locality are the Church at that place, moved and directed by the Holy Ghost who is the divine representative on earth in this dispensation. John 16:7-15.

D. D. But Paul, were you not called and ordained an apostle of the Gentiles by the Church and sent out by the Church?

P. Not at all. Read Gal. 1:1. Paul an apostle (not from man neither through man, but through Jesus Christ, and God the Father who raised Him from the dead), and all the brethren which are with me unto the Churches of Galatia.” Also Acts 13:2-4. “And as they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them, so they being sent forth by the Holy Ghost, went down to Seleucia.

D. D. Paul, were not the churches of your day and ours the same?

P. By no means. The Church of Christ gathered to Him as the head. The Church as we have seen, being the body. Christ is the Rock — the foundation — the Vine. ”On this Rock I will build my Church” &c. The stone which the builders rejected the same was made the head of the corner and a rock of offense. 1st Pet. 2:7, 8. “For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 1st Cor. 3:11. “I am the vine, ye are the branches; he that abideth in me, and I in him the same beareth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.” John 15:5. Here all the saved gather in vital contact with the Head, Acts 2:47; 11:24. All baptized into one body by the same Spirit.

D. D. Paul, are not the churches to-day united to Christ in the same way?

P. No. A man, or a number of men through disaffection in government or doctrine, withdraw from an existing body; formulate their creed, government, etc., and start a new church. (?) Here is the head (not Christ) and unto this head the followers gather. The government is all human. The dominion of the Holy Ghost is rejected. It is man in authority over man. Many precious souls in these systems are also united to the Vine: but the systems themselves, and the principles underlying them are Antichrist. This is substancially the way the many hundred sects of the present were brought into existence.

D. D. But Paul, do you not see the teaching of these holiness men are paralyzing the churches and taking the best members out of them?

You mistake when you think it is the holiness people — It is the voice of God — Rev. 18:4. “Come out of her, my people,” etc. John, on Patmos, foresaw this your day recorded in Rev. 18:1-4. First came the angel having great power and the earth was lighted with his glory (holiness, light, and power.) Those who received this light cried mightily, with a strong voice the words of verses 2 and 3.

The Babylon of the 2nd verse and the churches of your day are identical. Then follows the 4th verse, which is being heard in your day and is truly taking out all that are godly — all the life, the power, and light — all “my people;” then paralysis must eusue remember what my old teacher Gamaliel, said to the Jews. That will not apply to those who oppose “My people.” “And now I say unto you, refrain from these men, and let them alone; for if this counsel, or this work be of men, it will be overthrown; but if it be of God ye will not be able to overthrow them; lest haply ye be found fighting against God. Acts 5:38, 39, new version.

D. D. Paul, why cannot the churches or Christians see this, if it be true, as you say?

P. If people would see, they must “walk in the light.” Light reveals, but darkness hides. I was once in the same difficulty particularly. I was a zealous and conscientious member of the Jewish church, and “I verily thought with myself, that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth. And this I also did in Jerusalem; and I both shut up many of the saints prison and when they were put to death, I gave my vote against them etc. Read it all my brother, Acts 26:9-19.

D. D. But, just think, Paul, what a disaster it would be to the world to have the churches destroyed.

P. God does not so regard their destruction babylon), see Rev. 18:6, 7, 20. “On this Rock I will build my Church; and the gates of hell shall out preve.. against it.” Matt. 1..:18. If yours is the Church of Christ, you need not fear fau..ies nor demons it will stand. If not, it will fail.

THE BRIDE OF JESUS.

—:o:—

“AND there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues and talked with me saying. Come hither, I will show thee the Bride, the Lamb’s wife. And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God.” — Rev. 21:9, 10. “But in the last days it shall come to pass that the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be established it, the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it. And many nations shall come and say, come and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and Ho will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths: for the law shall go forth out of Zion, and the Word of the Lon, from Jerusalem.” — Micah 4:1, 2. This Jerusalem which John saw descending out of heaven from God, is the Church of the First-born, for Paul, in peaking to the Heb. brethren says, “but ye are (present, already,) come unto Mount Zion, and unto the city of the Living God, the Heavenly Jerusalem, *** to the general assembly and Church of the First-born. — Heb. 12:21-23. Hallelujah!

John says it came right out of heaven. and here Paul pronounces it to be the heavenly Jerusalem, and then ho also says, that it is the Church. Hallelujah! John was carried to a high mountain to behold its beauty. Micah says, that it shall be established in the top of the mountain, and shall be exalted above the hills. Yes, bless God! the Church of the First-born is built far above sin and strife, and the pleasures of this world, in the great Mountain of God’s holiness, “Great is the Lord, and greatly to be feared in the city of our God, in the mountain of His holiness.” — Psa. 48:1, 2. Praise God! This Mount Zion or the Church is the joy of the whole earth, for it “has the glory of God, and Her (the Church’s) light was like a Jasper stone (like Jesus) clear us crystal.” — Rev. 21:11. “And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.” — Rev. 21:14. So this city of our God, the Church, was built on the day of Pentecost — on the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief corner stone. — Eph. 2:20.

The Revelator says in the 10th verse, that the first foundation stone was of Jasper (meaning Jesus.) Now the voice of the Trumpet speaking to John said. “Come up hither, (into the mountain of God’s holiness) and I will show thee things which must be hereafter. And immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a throne was set in heaven, (ecclesiastical heaven, the Church) and one sat on the throne. (Holiness. Psa. 47:8.)

And He that sat was to look upon, like a Jasper and Sardine stone.” — Rev. 4:1-4.

He is the head of the Body, the Church, and governs it as He desires, from His royal throne of holiness. Praise God!

But what of those precious stones of every hue that garnishes the foundation of the wall of the city? Rev. 21:19.

Now Peter says, “ye also, as lively stones, are built up a Spiritual house, a holy priest-hood.” — 1st. Pet. 2:5. Hallelujah! Every individual that is washed in the all cleansing blood of Jesus is a glittering stone that garnishes the foundation of the wall, when the Sun of righteousness sheds forth it’s rays on the glorious City of God. O hallelujah! how those precious stones do glitter and sparkle in the clear sun-light. Glory to God! they send forth radiant light; seen and known of all men: for Christ says, “ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid.” — Matt. 5:14.

No dirt begrimed stones are placed in the foundation of the wall; but every one is transparant, and dear as crystal (with out sin, and wholly sanctified.) This beautiful city, the Church, is the Bride of Jesus, and “She looketh forth as the morning, fair as the moon, clear as the

Sun,” (Songs of Sol. 6:10.) and now she is all prepared to go forth to meet the Bridegroom, dressed in all of her wedding attire, which is holiness. “Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honor to Him, for he marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife hath made herself ready; and to … was granted that She should be strayed in fine ..eh, clean and white: for the fine … is the righteousness of the saints.” – Rev. 19:1-8.

God speaking to the Church by the ..nth of the prophet Isa. says, “Awake! awake! put on thy strength O Zion; put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city.” – Isa. 5:2, 1. And again, “I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall he joyful in my God; for He hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, He hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.” — Isa. 4:10. So this wedding garment is the robe of spotless purity, in which the Bride is arrayed, without spot, or wrinkle or blemish, or any such thing, but it is pure. — Eph. 5:27. Hallelujah! Every one that helps compose this glorious city is dressed in while robes and hate palms (victory) in their hands, and are before the throne, and serve Him in His temple day and night: they hunger no more, neither thirst any more.” — Rev. 7:9, 15, 16. Now Christ says, “I am the bread of life. He that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me, shall never thirst. — john 6:35.

Hallelujah! He that siteth on the throne is dwelling among them and feeding them. Praise God! Here the people of God abide in the city (the Church) and bask in the sunlight of His shining face; all sorrow and sighing (murmuring and complaining) have fled away.

The walls are salvation, the gates praise, and the gates are never shut — “and there shall in no wise enter into it anything that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.” — Rev. 21:27. “Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb.” — Rev. 19:9.

And have on the wedding robe which is “the righteousness of saints.” If we fail to put it on when prepared by the Muster of the house, He will say, “take and bind him hand and foot and cast him into outer darkness, where there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

Dear Brethren: — I thank God for His power to cleanse from all sin. I am free from sin, and I’m trusting in the Lord to keep me in perfect peace. I praise God for His patience and mercy to me, while the devil was crushing me, and keeping me from enjoying this great salvation, which I truly desired to enjoy; but thank God for deliverance and the joy of salvation He restored unto me. Thanks be unto God who giveth me the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. I am out on to promise and under the blood of Jesus; saved and sanctified wholly.

Dear Brethren: — I praise God for full and free salvation, that saves me from all sin, cleanses my heart from every thing that is unholy in the sight of God; for He says, “The day is coming, and now is when the dead shall hear the voice of the son of God, and they that hear shall live.”

Praise God! I was dead in trespasses and sin and when the voice of God called after me, I came to Him and lived. Yet not I but Christ that liveth in me. Praise His Holy name forever! I am walking in the light as it shines on my path-way. Glory to God! I claim the victory through the worthy name of Jesus. I am saved sanctified and kept by the power of God each moment.

Dear Brethren: — My testimony is that I am saved just now. I praise God to-day for perfect deliverance from all sin. Praise God! I am sweetly resting in the arms of Jesus. I came to this place last Friday with Bro. and Sister Grover and Bro. Speck to assist in saving perishing souls. Glory be to Jesus for salvation! the Lord wonder fully keeps me by His power, free from all the devices of satan. My constant prayer to God is, to keep me humble as it were in the dust where He can use me to His name’s honor and glory. I am willing that the Lord should use me in any way and my chooses. I am saved and sanctified and my life is hid with Christ in God.

Prepare to Meet Thy God.

-:o:-

Alas, how soon this body dies!
‘Tis but an earthly clod,
Each passing moment loudly cries,
Prepare to meet thy God!

The way that leads to endless rest,
Perhaps thou ne’er hast trod;
But if thou wouldst be truly blest,
Prepare to meet thy God.

The man who slights the Savior’s grace.
Must bear His vengeful rod;
Sinner, lest this should be your case,
Prepare to meet thy God.

Behold, He comes in yonder cloud,
All nature feel His nod;
The whole creation cries aloud,
Prepare to meet thy God!

Dear Brethren: — We praise God for victory in our souls this morning. We went to Hayesville Feb, 13, and commenced meeting that evening in a school house one mile and a half from the village. Glory to God! we had victory in the very commencement. We were enabled by the Holy Ghost to preach the straight Word. Some who profess to be christians were ready to take exceptions, and wanted to enter into debate; but we praise God that we are saved from all that, and as the Word cuts all debating, off. we. gave them the plain Word and left it where it beltings. Glory to God! we remained till Monday 22ml, and felt impressed by the Spirit to come home, as we were nearly worn out. Quite a number were convicted by the Word, and said they would seek till they had a satisfactory experience. We expect to return just as soon as the Lord wills. Yours saved in Christ.

To the dear saints scattered abroad, greeting. Wife, and I are still out in the war, pushing the battle for Jesus. Hallelujah! God has stired this country for miles wound here. Glory to God! for a stiring salvation. Babylon is shaken from center to circumference; they prop the walls by day and by night, with any thing they can got hold of. We have got the dumb dogs waked up and growling. Hallelujah! Many have professed since we came here, and many are convicted and seeking for this more excellent way. Persecutions are thick. Hallelujah! Nothing but the genuine can stand. People who are not on fire for God, need not come here. Bless God for fiery trials with red hot salvation. Pray for us. O praise the Lord for what he is doing in this country; many are convicted and babylon is falling. I saw some that pawed there tongues for pain Those that would not come out of sects, lost what salvation they seemed to have. One woman said that I came there as a wolf in sheep’s clothing and shook all of their religion out of them. “Well bless God it was not very good or it would have stood hail, fire, and Wood. Dear Brethren: — I verily believe that the time is coming when the Philistines will send the ark home, as it is causing great distraction among them, and they are already the enemies of God’s people, The heathens, Zebah and Zalmunna, who have the houses of God in possession, (Psa: 83: 11, 12,) are falling back and fleeing when no man pursueth. D. T. Leech, the fornicator has fled, so Brother Koonce and 1 had the privilege of preaching the Word in the meeting house at Pine Hill, near where He lived. The windows of the parsonage are boarded up; “their houses are desolate.” Also at this place there is a neat, plain meeting house (no sect has any claim) where the saints have always been welcome. The priest at this place a few years ago opened the sect door and let all out, good and bad, expecting to call back such as he wanted in; and as they loved freedom, they would not hear his voice, (John 10:5.) The hireling got a louder call some where else. The people through here have learned to enter no fold that is opened by man. Bro. Wm. is with me, we closed at Witherup the 14th: not three sect members in the whole town; nearly all good disposed sinners. They boarded us at the hotel, and in other ways manifested their kindness. In both private and public they manifested their desire to be saved; but we were called away in one week. I think a good work can be done there, as the club room will open for the saints at roost any time, and the people will receive the Word gladly.

My testimony is, I am hid away with Christ in God, and shut in by the walls of salvation. I have gone on to perfection, (in parity and love) and still the Spirit is leading me out into greater depths and beauties, and so enlarging my capacities for enjoyment, that the stream of love grows wider and deeper that flows in my soul. My highest ambition is to know the will of my God, and my greatest delight is to do it. The Holy Ghost is witnessing to the preaching of the Word. I am cleansed from all sin. sanctified wholly, standing on the sea of glass. Pray for the work of the Lord in Pa.

Dear Brethren: — I write again for the encouragement of all saints, and to the glory of God. I gave the M. E. priest one copy of the Trumpet to read; he said he did not like all of it: too much truth in it, the truth hurls, so he came to see me and try to starve me back to the compromise line, but praise the Lord! He has kept me from going back. What would I have gone back to? that cold formal sect, having a form of godliness but denying the power, and God says from such turn away. “Be not unequally yoked together with unbelievers, for what communion hath light with darkness, or the temple of God with idols, for ye are the temple of the Living God.” Satan says they do a little good, but I can not see it, they get poor souls bound down in them, captives, and they are taught from the pulpit to be infidels. Well do I remember when I was crushed down in the sect, a captive with my hands and tongue tied, but I thank God for sending a people to preach deliverance to the captives and opening the eyes of the blind. Yes I was borne blind but a man named Jesus anointed my eyes and I went to the pool and washed, and came seeing. The priest tried to discourage me by telling me I was standing alone; the Hebrew children did not fall down and worship the king’s image, neither did I worship their sect idol. By the grace of God I can stand alone; I can do all thing? through Christ strengthening me. 1 went and worked in the sects until God showed me it was wrong to strengthen the hands of evil doers, and I am tired of the sight, seeing them make a mock of God. “Not every one that saith unto me Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven, but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven,” and this is the will of God, “even your sanctification.” “That servant which knew his Lord’s will and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will shall be beaten with many stripes.” Sanctification is what every one needs, and must have in order to see God. Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God, and no one is pure in heart until they are sanctified, made holy, cleansed by the blood of Jesus, purified by faith in Jesus Christ the Christian’s altar. We are the gift; whatever touches the altar is made holy. “I beseech you therefore brethren, by the mercies of God, that, ye present your bodies a living sacrifice holy, acceptable unto God which is your reasonable service, and be not conformed to this world.” I want to say to all saints, especially those that are standing alone, be sure you are not led by false prophets, blind guides and hypocrites, which appear righteous unto men, but within are full of hypocrisy and iniquity; for they do the work of their father, the devil. I am free from sect babylon, saved by the precious blood of Jesus. God makes all His servants free.

Dear Brethren: — I have no full brother or sister in the Lord near me, that I know of. But I have sweet communion with the blessed Jesus. Praise the Lord, for. His loving kindness! I have just returned home from Randolph Co. Ind. where I removed from, to this place, last Oct. While I was there I had the pleasure of attending a series of meetings, conducted by Brother Warner, and others. When I heard they were going to hold meetings in my old neighborhood I arranged my business so that I could attend the meetings. I had heard considerable about the holiness people, and I was quite anxious to see them, and hear them preach. My introduction did not make the most favorable impression”, for I thought there was too much, ado about, praising God to be altogether genuine; But Paul exhorts us to “offer sacrifice of praise to God continually.” I began to reason in this way: that if Brother Warner was a bad man he would certainly seek popularity and Worldly gain, instead of poverty and persecutions; for I thought a man of his ability could command a salary of $1000. or $1500. per annum, and not do one fourth as much hard labor as he was now doing for nothing, (so far as dollars and cents are concerned), and have the praise of the people instead of the persecution that he now has. I then decided that he was honest in what he was doing, but, perhaps, he was deceived, and over excited on the subject of holiness. But after I had made my criticism, and heard him preach several times, I began to think, perhaps, the fault might be in self, and on close examination I found that self had been feeding on the dry husks of sin, and on the barren mountains of sectarian-ism so long that he had become so thin, and lean that there was but little life in him, and unless he makes a change of diet that death would, inevitably, be his fate. I then resolved to cast all of my prejudice, away and seek for the true bread of life. Now I can praise God that I did not seek in vain, for I am now feasting on food that gives strength, comfort, and peace in this life, and a hope of meeting the God and Rock of our salvation, and all the sanctified, in the sweet fields of eternal bliss. O praise the Lord for the great love that he has manifested toward his creatures, who have been so ungreatful and rebellions toward him. If any brother or sister in the Lord live near me please write; that we may become acquainted. Or if any hold meetings near, please let me know. There is work for all the saints, for there are thousands of honest hearted souls, starving on the barren mountains of sect-ism. Let us all humbly submit ourselves to our great Captain, and never disobey orders, and we will be victorious in the end. Your humble brother in Christ.

Dear Brethren: – I am so happy to say to all Father’s dear children that I am saved and kept by His power. Jesus sweetly dwells within, and I want nothing only to ever be filled with Spirit and power. I feel strong in the Lord. I am reading Bro. Warner’s book on the second work of grace. As I read, I praise God with all my ransomed power for the light He gives me: then again I weep for those who are in darkness. I wandered in the wilderness for twenty-eight years, and when I would lie down at night I would weep and ask God why I could not be a better christian. O! how different it is now. I can praise my God all the time, Glory be to His name! I have no fear of evil. I praise God for sending the Gospel Trumpet to rescue my soul, and now lam trying to help others. I want to stay between the portal and the altar and wrestle like Jacob for perishing souls. My prayer is, may God use all His heaven born, blood bought children as instruments in tearing down the strong holds of satan. God has the fan in His band, and is separating the wheat from the chaff. Dear Brethren: — I would like to have all the world know that I love my Savior; that He is my all in all. I feel to praise His holy name for what He has done for me. Oh His mercy endureth forever! Eighteen years ago I was soundly converted. I had an experimental knowledge that my sins were forgiven; I was made to rejoice in His holy name, I joined the Methodists, was sprinkled and taken in full member of that sect. Before I was converted I was very fond of worldly pleasures, and soon, I am sorry to say, I backslid; but God in His mercy let His Spirit strive with me. O blessed be His holy name! Years passed on, and the Lord saw fit to take two of our dear little daughters away from us. Oh! it was hard to part with them, but God knows what is for our good and His glory. A few months after the last one passed away, God wonderfully blessed my soul again, but not having the light on the Church,

I went and had my name put on the sect book again. The same winter I read a book entitled “The Way of Holiness,” and also heard Bro. Lindley preach on holiness. I loved to hear holiness preached, but did not have the true light on the Church yet. But not long after, I was out of sect bondage, Christ alone being my Church. He is the vine and I am one of His branches. The Lord has baptized me with the Holy Ghost and, given me the witness that I am consecrated to work in His vineyard. I want all the dear saints to pray for the salvation of my dear parents and two boys. Pray for me that I prove faithful unto the end, steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the works of the Lord. Dear Brethren: — Praise the Lord for free salvation in Christ Jesus. One year ago this month, I joined a sect and lived there until last Dec, when my companion was attending a sect meeting. He came home praising God, and said God had showed him this marvelous light. That night God showed me the true light, and I promised God if He would spare my life until the next morning I would take my name from that sect book.” Glory to God! To-day I am free from ail sects, standing on the solid Rock, Christ Jesus. I am saved and sanctified through the blood. God has taken all the taste for coffee and tea from me; I am cleansed from all filthiness of the flesh. Glory to God!

I had been sick for twelve days, and I thought I was not long for this world; but I put all my trust in the blessed Savior, that He would restore me to health again. I claimed the blessed promises, and believed that I would get well. The Lord sent some of His true saints here, full of the Holy Ghost. Bro. Warner read some of the Word of God and that increased my faith. He then anointed me with oil, and laid hands on me, and I was healed. Glory to Jesus!

This Sabbath day I am saved and sanctified through the blood of Jesus. Glory to God! “I am reigning, sweetly reigning, far above this world of sin.” Your sister free from all sin. Pray for me.

Dear Brethren: Grace, mercy, love peace and truth be multiplied, the love of God the Father, and His Son Jesus Christ our Savior and the ever blessed. Holy Spirit rest and abide with you always.

Dear Bro. W., I have received great light from God, through you and brother Fisher in the Gospel Trumpet, and the Bible Proofs of the Second work of Grace. The Bible Proofs was the first book on holiness and sanctification I ever road, and I want to say to the glory of God, it is the best on both subjects, holiness and sectism. When I read the Bible Proofs, I did not know what you meant by sects, and sectarianism. I thought the sects were all right, that they were the Church of God. But I want to say, I begin to know something about sectism, and the awful destruction it is working among God’s people, and deceiving thousands into the idea that joining them, they join Christ. When I begin to talk to poor sinners about salvation they say, “Yes, I know I ought to join some church,” (sect) They think that joining a sect, puts them right on the road to heaven. I say to them, are you a Christian? “No, but I have been thinking of joining for some time.” Well, if they would join Christ it would be all right, but they mean some sect. I have talked to so many sectarians this winter; I would ask them, when were you converted? They would look at me as it they hardly understood what I meant, then they would say, “O I joined the church (sect) about — ” Yes, they joined some sect body, but not the pure Body of Christ, the Church of the Firstborn, whose names are written in heaven, No, no, their names are written on some sect book. O how I shudder when I think of so many poor deceived sinners that will go down to hell. O how earnest we must be to rescue these perishing souls! Then so many of Father’s dear children in these abominable sects, wearing the yoke of of sectism! O may God sweep them into hell where they belong, because they are damnable heresies; damnable in all their effects; damming many precious immortal souls I received a letter from Easton, Mo., some few days ago, from one who was seeking (indefinitely) holiness when I was there. He says, “we have had a big revival; 75 converted, and 66 joined.” How is this? 75 converted and 66 joined the hot-bed of pride and superstition, called the Presbyterian church (sect).

“O how blasphemous to call such a thing as this the Church! Yes, joined — he says “Bro., you are too hard on sectarianism. Perhaps God meant it so to be, soul, soul, be careful. A sect or organized body of (calf) worshipers, or denomination, or whatever you may call them, is simply a part of God’s people. Now we have many ideas, as to how we must worship.”

Yes, that is the trouble, we have ideas, but not the Word of God. Hallelujah! Then he says, “I believe you can’t succeed without organizing. Nature teaches that the publisher of the Gospel Trumpet is your pope. Now I do not denounce your doctrine, but I do your hornet way. You will wake up to find yourself in a sect. You are the fruit of sects, and the tree was good if the fruit is good, was it not?”

This is what this brother thinks about it. May God open his eyes to a Spiritual understanding of the truth. Yes, he says Bro. Warner is our pope. Hallelujah! I am the child of the King, (Jesus, and I will never wake up in a sect unless I backslide and loose my mind, then I might join one of the abominable things.

I remain your free, brother, saved from sin, sanctified wholly. Hallelujah!

Dear Brethren: — The Lord saves me just now from all sin, and I am sanctified and that by a secend work of grace.

Praise the Lord! O dear ones, there is glory in my soul all the time. Praise God for salvation full and free! Praise His holy name forever and ever! O I am so sweetly resting in Jesus’ dear breast, and am kept by the power of God. Our dear brother Michels, came here last night to preach the Word, and O how our souls leaped within us, when we saw his dear face once more. The Lord is so merciful and full of tender pity to those, that trust Him. When we read the testimonies of God’s little ones in the Trumpet it is a feast to our souls. Praise the Lord, O my soul! In the last meeting here, two souls came to the altar for pardon, and four to be sanctified. The Lord is doing a mighty work here, and also over at Bro. Smith’s. Souls are being saved; glory to Jesus! Dear brother Palmer has been laboring for ten weeks, most of the time alone. Souls saved nearly every night.

Well, praise God! the car of salvation is rolling oil in this place. Praise God for saving my soul, and my dear companion also. Your brother and sister, saved from all sin. Pray, for us, that our faith fail not.

Dear Brethren: — My testimony is, that I am saved and sanctified, washed and redeemed in the blood of the Lamb, ready to be revealed when He comes to make up His jewels. Praise His holy name! He guides me in the path of all truth. The Lord has clothed me in my right mind, and I have a great work to do in His holy vineyard, praise His holy name! It is through Him I live, move and have my being, and all I daily stand in need of, I have perfect victory over the beast and his image, and am on the Rock Christ Jesus, where the gates of hell can not prevail against me. The grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, be with you all. Amen! Your brother in Christ Jesus.

Dear Brethren: — I am sweetly resting in my blessed Jesus to-night, trusting Him and abiding in His love. Glory be to His holy, name! I feel like trusting Him for all things. I have also taken Him for my physician, and He never fails me.

Glory be to His name! He says He will heal all of our diseases, and I know He will if we put our whole trust in Him.

One year ago last December, a relative of mine took sick and died. I was with him through his sickness and at the time of his death, and it effected ray head and brain, my mind was bewildered, and seemed sometimes that I would become insane. My folks thought too that I would, or was going to loose my mind, still I did not feel like going to any earthly physician, but felt that God would do for me what no one else could do. I was also troubled with other diseases. My lungs had been weak for several years, was so bad some times that I could not raise my voice to sing at all, and did not feel able to do my work most of the time. About two weeks before I was healed I took a severe cold, which settled on my lungs and was so bad that I could scarcely speak, and the day I was healed it seemed to go to my head, and I was not able to sit up much of the time. I cried out to God to heal all my diseases, and immediately He touched me with His all-healing power, and I was made every whit whole. Glory to His name forever and ever! When I was healed I was alone, except my boy three years of age. My husband was away from home and our older boy was at school. In the afternoon I was in much distress with my head and lungs; I bad medicine in the house which had given me relief, and I was tempted to take it. I went to the safe, but as I put out my band to open the door, something seemed to say “don’t take it, trust me.” So I turned away. I felt so bad I thought I must do somethings so I thought I would lie down again; the same voice said to me, “do not go to bed again.” I sat down in the rockingchair and gave myself fully into the hands of the Lord, to do with me as pleased Him. Then a strange feeling came over me, and as it passed off, I felt the cleansing. Then the voice said to me, “you are healed,” and I shouted glory to God! O what a blessed experience!

To-day I am saved, and He leads me into green pastures and by still waters. I feel a, peace in my soul that flows like a fiver. Glory be to our God! He keeps me each day from all sin. I am saved and sanctified, and kept by the power of God.

God bless all the dear saints, and keep them faithful for Jesus’ sake. Amen!

Dear Brethren: The Lord wants me to send my testimony. I praise God this morning for full and free salvation in Christ. I do praise God for this wonderful salvation that He has placed within the reach of all men. I praise God that I am cleansed from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, and have perfected holiness as God has commanded us to do. I do praise God for the victory I have in my soul. I am hid with Christ in God, and nothing is able to pluck me out of His baud. Hallelujah! My soul is now free, for the precious blood of Jesus cleans-eth even me. Praise the Lord! On Christ the solid Rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand. As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow, and every tongue shall confess to God. Praise the Lord for salvation! “But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin.”

Dear Brethren: I praise God to-day for a full and complete salvation, that saves me from all sin! I thank God that He ever called after me and gave me an honest heart, and I was willing to accept this great salvation that keeps me each day from all sin. I praise God that I ever gave my heart to Him while I was young. I gave my heart to Jesus last June, and I have never been sorry. I expect to praise Him as long as He gives me strength. I have no desire to turn back in this world, for my way grows brighter each day; I am more determined to-day to go on and make heaven my home than ever before. Praise God! The Lord is at work in this place. Souls have been saved and have been made to shout and praise God with a loud voice. Hallelujah!

I am saved and sanctified and kept by the power of God. Your Bro. in Christ.

Dear Brethren: — I am fully trusting in Jesus for all that I have. I am glad I have left all to follow Christ, Jesus said unto His disciples, “If any will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross and follow me.” — Matt, 16: 24. For even hereunto were ye called, because Christ also suffered for us. leaving us an example that ye should follow His steps, who did no sin, neither was guile found in His mouth. — 1 Pet. 2:21. 22. Sectarians say we can not follow the foot-steps of Christ nor live a holy life. Shame on such people; to think that our Savior would set us an example, and then would not give us grace to follow. Titus (2:11, 12) says, “for the grace of God that bringeth salvation, hath appeared to all men, teaching us that denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously and godly in this present world.”

A godly life is a holy life, and a holy life is a perfect life, lived through the power of God. Dear saints, I want to tell you that I am all on the altar, sanctified and meet for the Master’s use. Hallelujah to God and the Lamb forever and ever!

“When we all are safely landed in heaven
We will gladly shout our dangers are o’er;
We will walk about that beautiful city
And well sing our happy songs ever more.”

Pray for me, that f may ever be faithful to God.

I do praise the Lord that I ever sought and obtained holiness. I still remain loyal to God. Hallelujah! I am left alone, with Christ, and they seek my life also, yet by faith I can see that there are many that have not bowed to the image of Baal.

Wife and I are alone in this country, on the unsectarian line of holiness, having no creed but the Bible. We pray God to open the way speedily for a reformation, on the true line of holiness. This kind brings unity; all other is spurious.

May the Lord bless all the true saints scattered abroad, and keep them true unto the end. Your brother sanctified, and kept by the power of God through faith.

Dear Brethrem: – The Lord has saved me and sanctified me. I praise Him that He ever called after me, and I obeyed. He has done wonderful things for me. Praise His holy name! He has healed my body. I am in the Lord’s hands to be used according to His will. Praise God for what He is doing for His little ones. The devil is trying to overthrow us, but our trust is in God. We read in the Word of God that all those that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

Let us all praise the Lord in the beauty of holiness, and rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory. May the Lord bless all the dour saints is my prayer. Amen! Your sister in Christ.

To all the saints scattered abroad greeting. Grace be unto you and peace from God the Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ for His wonderful love to us. I do praise God for His loving kindness to me. His faithfulness is fresh every night. Praise God for the presence of the abiding Comforter, a well spring in my soul every day; deeper the channel grows. Bro. Smith and I are laboring together in the Gospel. The Lord makes us to triumph in every place. I went over for a short trip to East Saginaw last week. I feel the Lord is going to visit that wicked city with salvation.

The Lord willing, we will move there to work soon. Pray for us. Your companion in tribulation and in the fellows ship of Jesus’ love.

Delana, Ill. Dear Brethren: — And all readers of the Trumpet, to vindicate the cause of Bro. Seguin which God will vindicate, I write. May the Lord help him in his work. If ever there was a man that needed a sword with more than two edges, it is him. O may he continue to light with all the armor of God. There is nothing on earth needed worse than war against the mother of harlots, the abomination of the whole earth, and all her sect daughters of confusion. In looking at the blackness of darkness of the awful works of she bottomless pit of Romanism; I say, every Protestant that is loyal to God, will hunt her down, and tight against her.

Catholics, as well as Protestants have learned to modify so the two have nun on a compromise line, and no wonder more is peace between them. Go on Bro. Seguin, and the Lord will bless you more and more. We have to fight again the battle of the reformation. Let sectarian harlots howl. Saints of God every where, help Bro. Seguin by your prayers and by your money.

Dear Brethren: I feel led of the Lord to write my testimony for the glory of God. I lived in sin till I was 28 years old, when a man came into our community and preached the Gospel of Christ.

I did not go to hear him for some time but some of the boys told me I ought in go and hear him; that he talked so foolish. So I thought I would go and have some fun with him. I went, but did not see what I expected, for he preached the Word of God, and I got under conviction.

I went on in that way a year or more, and I then began to call on god for mercy I did truly repent, and God for Christ’s sake forgave me. I then joined a sect, and was in babylon about four years. I showed me that I had not a pure heart.

I fought against it for a while, because my preacher did, but I found that it was hard to fight against God, so I gave up to the will of God and got under the blood of Jesus. Now I can say, I am completely saved from sin, sanctified by the Holy Ghost, with the blood of Christ.

Dear Brethren: – I feel led to write a few words to the glory of God. I am saved, sanctified, and kept by the mighty power of God, Glory to God for a complete salvation that saves to the very uttermost! Let me say that when salvation brings a soul out of sect babylon it lands him in Jesus Christ, and puts Jesus Christ in him. I would say to every soul that is in babylon to “Come out of her my people and be ye seperate.” For once and forever have your liberty as God intended you should have when He created man. Praise the Lord my cup is full and overflowing. Bless God! we are on the Bible line. Yours in Christ.

Dear Brethren: – I am free Christ just now, and saved by His grace. I can not find any straight on the Bible line here but wife and I have meetings. There is a good congregation every time, and good order. I pray God to keep all His dear little ones saved until the end. Pray for us, that we may prove faithful.

Your brother in Christ Jesus. Amen!

Dear Brethren: — I can say that I and saved to day. There is so much darkness in the midst of the people here, it will take something like an earth-quake to around them. How I long for the company of the dear saints in Mich. May God bless them all and keep them in the narrow was is my prayer. We have had several meetings, and had good attendance. We need a good preacher, for there seems to be good interest. I am sawed and sanctified.

Dear saints in light and readers of the Trumpet. I feel led to say in testing for Jesus that I am saved, sanctified a.. washed while in the blood of the Land and am free from sin. I do praise God that He is bringing to light this gre.. plan of salvation, that is, to live without sin. Whosoever abideth in Him sinner not. – 1 Jno. 3:6. He that saith he abideth in Him, ought himself to walk even He walked. 1 Jno. 2:6. And ye kn.. that He was manifest to take away o.. sins, and in Him is no sin. – 3:5. If … walked without sin we must also. … shall be like Him, for we shall see Hi.. as He is. — 3:3. He that committeth s.. is of the devil. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin because he is bo.. of God. — 3:8, 9. The sects have alwa.. taught us, a man could not live with sin: but I praise God that He sent to … relief our dear brother and sister Co.. who are warning souls, day and night against the cunning devices of satan ministers who are drawing unstabled soul after them into the snares and pitfalls.. sect babylon. They are teaching us h.. to live a holy, sanctified life, and people are finding freedom from under the yoke of sect bondage. The sects say, look.. our churches, we have so many thousand in each church and you sanctified are I a few compared to us. But holiness more pleasing to God than great number. The desolate hath many more children than she which hath a husband. Rac.. had two sous, Joseph and Benjiman; s.. was Jacob’s true wife. The others wom.. had ten, and by those ten Joseph was so.. into Egipt for money; and sects ha.. been known to make sham sales of the daughters to procure money for their hi.. lings. They make my Father’s houses house of merchandise. – Jno. 2:16. S.. Acts 15:1, 5, 24; and 26:4, 5. When be and fire begins to fall from the lips of on holiness ministers, you can see those of sect bottles bursting, and howling fanat..ete. It seems to me that the sects do n.. read the Scripture when they reb.. shall be written in the earth because the have forsaken the Lord the fountain … living water. – Jer. 17:13. Mark the.. which cause divisions. – Rom. 16:17.

While one saith I am of Paul and a.. other I am of Apollos, are ye not carnal. To be carnally minded is death. The carnal mind is enmity against God, it not subject to the laws of God – 1 Cor. 3:..

“The marriage of the Lamb is comes Come hither I will show thee the Bride the Lamb’s wife. — Rev. 21:9.

Then He being our Father, our Make.. our husband, our head and our God. Wh.. should we usurp authority over him, f.. He was before all things and all thing.. were created for Him and by Him.

May God bless all who read the Trumpet May it blow long, strong and loud till a.. hear its sound to earth’s remotest bound

Pray for me.
